This sealing technology is designed for low-speed applications and such with the risk of dry running or insufficient lubrication with liquid medium. Therefore, it is the perfect addition to our product range.
Innovative Concept
RaXa is a flexible packing system with an innovative technology. There are no highly precise sealing surfaces or springs and nothing in the cartridge is fragile. The seals use a flexible sealant as sealing medium, which remains compressed in the system. A gas-operated piston ensures that the sealant is held at a pressure slightly above the pressure to be sealed. The sealant acts as an adaptive stationary seal and compensates shaft movements without affecting the sealing quality.

Life Cycle Costing
Stuffing box packings are simple and inexpensive seals. However, they are not technically tight and require a high maintenance effort. A very good sealing function is achieved with a double mechanical seal with barrier fluid. On the other hand, this requires a supply system that needs to be serviced regularly. In this field of tension, RaXa offers a high-quality seal with minimal maintenance requirements and moderate costs.

1) Seals are considered ‘technically tight’ if a barrier medium is introduced between the medium to be sealed and the atmosphere (double seal with barrier medium).
