This sealing technology supplements our delivery program with sealing solutions specifically for applications with low speed and the risk of dry running or inadequate lubrication with a liquid medium.
Technological concept
The combination of a lip made from a PTFE compound combined with the outstanding properties of a solid silicon carbide shaft sleeve is the basis for our successful technological concept.
The plastic PTFE is characterized by low friction, non-stick properties and dry running capacity (without liquid media). Silicon carbide has the highest hardness among technical materials after diamond and, thanks to excellent thermal conductivity (5x better than stainless steel), can quickly dissipate and distribute the frictional heat from the point of origin in the contact area.
